How Fininja Handles Your Money Data
Fininja is a small Canadian product built around one idea: you can see where your money goes without giving anyone else the keys to your bank account. It is a tracker rather than a budgeting app today—lightweight category limits are something we are still working on.
We never ask for your bank login
There is no account linking and no aggregator in the middle. You export a CSV or PDF from your bank and upload it yourself.
You can take your data back out
Export your transactions whenever you want, and deleting your account removes your transaction history along with it.
You review before anything is saved
Imported transactions land in a staging area first. Nothing joins your history until you have looked it over and approved it.
Subscriptions, not ads
Fininja is paid for by a $4.99/month plan and nothing else. There is no ad model, so there is no reason for us to profile your spending.
Categorization runs on a model trained on your own corrections, with a capped OpenAI fallback for transactions it cannot place. How that works, and everything else we do with your data, is spelled out in our privacy policy.
